The sample
Shockwave movies are intended to give the user a feel for what
the Home Page CD-ROM contains. These Shockwave
movies have more limited functionality than the CD-ROM. For
example, they do not include videos. The sound files in these
excerpts from Home Page have been resampled to reduce file size.
What
you'll need:
You'll
need the Shockwave plug-in. If you can see the sign immediately
below reading "You have Shockwave", you already have
it. If not, it can be downloaded from the Macromedia
site.
The Shockwave
movies will appear in pop-up browser windows. You'll
find it best to have your monitor set to 800 x 600 pixels.
To close the pop-up window, click on the close button on the top
right corner of the window.
Macintosh
users
please note: there are known problems with the function of Shockwave
in Internet Explorer 4.5 on Macs. You may well find they don't
function properly. You're probably encountering problems with
interactive Shockwave and Flash movies on other sites as well.
The only solution is to upgrade to a newer version of Internet
Explorer.
Netscape
6 users: This site has not been tested with Netscape 6,
but from what I have read, there are likely to be problems with
Shockwave as well as other plug-ins. My advice is to go back
to Netscape 4.5.
